OFF CAMPAIGN (Nashville) - Juan Borges, candidate for State House District 60 officially kicked off his campaign today. Speaking to a crowd at Sal's Pizza and Restaurant, a small business in Nashville, Borges announced his plan for fighting illegal immigration, ensuring security for seniors, standing up for common sense values and making government more responsible. "We need a state representative who people will trust to stand up for our values and will stand firm in their own beliefs. I will be that person if elected," said Borges. Borges' blueprint gives specific proposal for dealing with tough issues facing our state such as illegal immigration and cleaning up state government. "I am so grateful for everyone who has supported my campaign to be the next State Representative in District 60. I believe that I can make real changes to better the lives of Tennesseans but only with the help and dedication of good people like you," said Borges. Juan Borges graduated with a B.S. in Criminal Justice from MTSU. Borges has a long, successful career as a law enforcement official and he currently serves with the Metro Nashville Police Department. Borges is endorsed by Tennessee Right to Life for his commitment to protecting Tennessee's unborn and also endorsed by the Teamsters Law Enforcement league and the National Rifle Association. In addition, Borges has received the endorsement of U.S. Representative Marsha Blackburn. ### |
